A technical overview of our industrial releases
Cable releases can be broken down into the following components: operating part, direction
control device and release part. Operating and release parts can be designed individually
according to your operative requirements.
Flexible designsMost of our industrial releases have a flexible directional control part: Their flexibility (bending) is achieved by using a steel spring guided through a flexible spiral strip. The following versions of sheathing of the spiral strip are available:
Tubular releasesFlexibility is not always desired. Quite often industrial applications need exactly opposite characteristics. That’s why our tubular releases can be used with all applications designed with pre-defined routing to be complied with. With this design, the steel spring - non-corrosive material on request - is guided through a special brass tube that can be bent manually with little force along the route defined by the designer of the machine/plant. The brass tube itself is made of a special alloy that has this flexibility. As protection against environmental influences, the directional control part is covered with a shrunk-on sleeve. (Ill.1). To ensure exact routing, the tubes are bent true to form according to your specifications either manually or by using a master template. The tubular design differs from the flexible design in that it has a significantly lower frictional resistance.
